[Xinhua Photo]  South China's boomtown of Shenzhen should work to draw a sound planning for its development in the 11th five-year (2005 - 2010) period especially in aspects of urban planning and land use, said Zeng Peiyan, vice premier of the State Council, during a two-day visit to the city. Shenzhen should summarize its experience so as to better solve problems cropping up in the past and enhance advantages via introducing innovations, forming effective mechanisms and ironing out problems, said Zeng. The city should integrate its land use and urban development planning with the designing of its new five-year plan so that it could do better in saving land and handling fresh problems the city may come across in the development process, said Zeng, who inspected Shenzhen from Oct. 12 to 13. According to Zeng, urban management, public facilities and infrastructure are the two key aspects the city should pay further attention to. "Shenzhen should also reinforce the building of its emergence system through which it could lift its capabilities in safeguarding public security and handling accidents," he said. After the 15-minute opening ceremony, Zeng toured the exhibition venue.
